What is the Postgraduate Sub-committee?
The sub-committee is a branch of the Division of Health Psychology (DHP) with a remit to promote the interests of all Health Psychology postgraduates and Stage 2 Trainees. The sub-committee aims to provide improved peer support and guidance, relevant training and career resources and effective communication between the DHP and Health Psychology postgraduates. The sub-committee meets 4 times a year and all members take an active role in the general running of the committee and organising postgraduate events.
Who is on the committee?
Chair and representative of Health Psychologists in Training:
Takes trainee issues to the DHP and disseminate training related issues to all Health Psychology trainees via a web based discussion forum: healthpsychtraining@jiscmail.ac.uk
Attends DHP executive committee meetings.

BREATHE Representative:
Organises annual training workshops on specific topics of interest for Health Psychology postgraduates and other postgraduates or early-career researchers working in related areas.
Identifies training needs via the sub-committee and through direct contact with Health Psychology postgraduates.

PsyPAG (Psychology Postgraduate Affairs Group) Representative:
PsyPAG is a national organisation that provides support and information for all Psychology postgraduates in the UK and acts as a vehicle for communication via its regular publication (PsyPAG Quarterly), its website (www.psypag.co.uk), and its annual conference.
Work co-operatively with the DHP and PsyPAG to achieve the mutual goal of improving the experience of Health Psychology postgraduates through improved support and communication.
Attends PSYPAG meetings and conferences and DHP executive committee meetings.

Improves and consolidates the link between Scotland and the national postgraduate subcommittee
Represents postgraduate issues, training and support needs for Scotland
